Experience where it matters
In 2015, I co-founded Roots Behavioral Health, growing it from a start-up into a multi-location psychiatric and psychotherapy practice generating over $7 million annually. I have experienced the full cycle of an entrepreneur. Beginning as a "mom and pop" company to navigating growth with a corporate partner.
Our growth exploded in 2018 when Roots Behavioral Health was the first in Texas to offer insurance-based ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, delivering more than 7,000 sessions. We expanded our footprint and services; by 2023 we had over 50 employees and provided mental health care to over 6,000 central Texans.
Since starting Roots I have consulted or presented for various organizations sharing my experience and industry knowledge. Consulting and speaking on national and international stages has helped deepen my connections and understanding of the challenges in the mental health field.
